| What Makes Paddy So Special: | Wolf hounds are known for there laid back temperament, big gentle giants. We nearly lost Paddy last year due to a spinal stroke, he lost all control of his body from the waist down. But we got him through it with the help of Physio, Hydro and getting him up every hr of the day and night with a sling around his waist, we took it in turns to sleep down stairs with him for six weeks until he could get up him self, we had to hold him up so he could go to the toilet. It then took another 12 wks to get him walking on his own without the use of a sling. Now Paddy is doing realy well, he does still suffer some nerve damage in his back legs but he can run and swim now. He is a very special boy and we are so glad we didn't loose him, it took a lot of time and effort to get him better but we would do it all over again if we had to. |
